A Physician's Vision
Properly Pierced was opened in 2020 by Dr. Melodie Stocks, board certified ob/gyn and licensed body piercer. She envisioned a piercing studio that would be as equipped and organized as a doctor's office but a lot more fun.
Piercers
Cierra, Whitney, Melodie, Cassity, and Natalie (in order of picture) are fully licensed body piercers. They can do a full range of piercings. Each is an artist and can curate a look individual to you!
Information on Minors
We pierce ages 2-6 months & 3 years and up!
We will do lobes on babies after their first vaccines at 2 months. We will do most ear cartilage piercings and nostrils on ages 13+. For industrials, we recommend ages 15+ with history of healing cartilage piercings. We will do facial piercings and belly buttons on ages 16+. All other piercings, including microdermals, are ages 18+.
By law, a legal guardian MUST be present for anyone under the age of 18. The legal guardian must have a government-issued photo ID & proof of guardianship in the form of a birth certificate or court guardianship papers declaring the adult as the minor's legal guardian.

Implant-grade jewelry is included in the price. We have upgraded jewelry, such as titanium threadless, that may be purchased for initial piercings.
Price includes 316 implant-grade surgical steel studs. Titanium available for additional charge.
This package is for kids ages 2-6 months and ages 3 years and up who are getting their first piercing. Earrings are F-136 implant-grade titanium. Aftercare spray is included. No guns used. Requires appointment so 2 piercers are available.

Rook, daith, conch, helix, tragus, & forward helix are all cartilage piercings! The price includes 316 implant-grade surgical steel labret, titanium is available for an extra cost.
This popular piercing is anatomy specific. We will need to make sure your ear can accommodate the barbell. A 316 implant-grade steel internally threaded barbell is included in the price.
Includes a 316 implant-grade internally threaded steel labret (straight post) in price of piercing. Titanium Threadless jewelry available for an extra cost.
An internally threaded titanium circular barbell is included in the price. We have additional jewelry that can be purchased for the inital piercing.
316 implant-grade surgical steel curved barbell with choice of Swarovksi crystals is included in the price of the piercing.
Bridge, eyebrows, & surface bars are some of the many types of surface piercings. They are all performed with implant-grade jewelry.
This includes piercings through or around the lips. Internally-threaded, 316 implant-grade surgical steel jewelry is included.
A punch biopsy is used to create a hole in the skin. A titanium anchor is placed under the skin. Lidocaine injection is available for $15. Request lidocaine in advance so the doctor is available. Ages 18+ only.
Intimate piercings
$75 & up
Our most requested intimate piercings are frenum and vertical clitoral hood. Please state what piercing you are wanting in "Appointment Notes" when booking. Contact us for more information. Ages 18+ only.
316 implant-grade surgical steel barbells are included in the price. We also have titanium and jewelry available for purchase. Lidocaine injections available for $15. Advanced booking needed for lidocaine so the doctor is available. Ages 18+ only.
Tooth Gems
$50 & up
A small gem of your choice adhered to the surface of your tooth. A consultation is required in order to see if your anatomy is suitable for a gem. These can last anywhere from 2 months to 2 years. Available by appointment & to ages 18+ only.
A government-issued photo ID is required. A guardian must be present for clients under the age of 18.
Frequently asked questions
What do I need to bring with me to my piercing appointment?
- If you are 18 years old or older, you have to have your government issued ID with you in order to be pierced.
- If you are bringing someone under the age of 18 to be pierced, the legal guardian of the minor MUST be present with their government issued ID and proof that they are the minor's guardian. This can be the minor's birth certificate if the guardian's name is on there or court ordered documents declaring the adult as the minor's guardian.
What piercings do you not perform?
- We do not pierce any tongue or cheek piercings, smileys, or horizontal lip piercings. If you have any questions about any piercings we do or do not perform, call or message us!
What forms of payment do you accept?
- We accept nearly all forms of payment except for Venmo! We will accept cash, card, CashApp, Kirksville Cash, etc.
Do you use needles or guns to perform piercings?
- We only use single-use needles for piercings. We absolutely will not use any piercing guns.
Do you accept walk-ins?
- Yes, as long as we are not super busy and depending on what piercing you are wanting. Piercings on those 12 & under, intimate piercings, nipple & microdermal piercings with lidocaine, & tooth gems all require appointments. It is not often that we can accept these as walk-ins. If you are wanting to come with a large group or are travelling to come and see us, we highly recommend setting up an appointment.
